My work investigates collective memory, language, historical archives, and the ephemeral quality of images in news media—frequently referencing events, places, and figures that feature prominently in our shared cultural consciousness. Through drawing, printmedia, installation, and discrete performance, I explore connectivity by investigating the intersection of personal and public memory and shared perceptions of contemporary events. I am interested in the role played by sensory perception in the act of recalling, and the narratives that emerge from attempting to access these original sensory impressions. Process, multiplicity, and explorations into the limitations and capability of language also feature prominently in my work.
